This site sets no cookies at all: no session cookie, no preference cookie, no analytics cookie and no advertising cookie. That is why there is no consent banner asking you to agree to them. A banner here would be theatre — asking permission for something that does not happen, and training readers to click away a question that matters on other sites.
The one thing kept on your device
Your choice of the light or the dark theme, stored in your browser's local storage under the name academy:theme. Local storage is not a cookie: it is not attached to requests, it is never sent to this site or to anyone else, and it is readable only by this site in your own browser. Clearing site data removes it, and the page simply follows your system setting again.
No third-party scripts, so nothing to block
There is no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising tag, no pixel, no heatmap, no social button and no embedded player on these pages. The only code the site runs is its own, and it does two things: it switches the theme, and it makes the calculators work out an answer while you type.
What this means for your settings
Blocking cookies entirely changes nothing on this site, because there are none to block. Blocking JavaScript leaves every lesson, diagram and page of the course fully readable — the calculators are what stop working, and each of them shows the arithmetic in words beside it for exactly that reason.
When you leave for a broker
Once you follow a link to a broker you are on their site, under their cookie policy and their consent banner. What they set, how long they keep it and what they do with it is theirs to declare, and worth reading there — it is usually a very different page from this one.
If this ever changes
If the site ever needs a cookie, this page will say which one, what it is for and how long it lasts, and your consent will be asked before it is set rather than assumed after. The date on the page changes when that happens.
